In this book we have tried in an accessible form to tell a child about the importance of daily reading of the main Jewish prayer “Hear O Israel ” – one of the oldest and most authoritative prayers , known as de orayta mitzvah – commandment of the Torah. The Jews say ” Shema Israel” twice a day for the rest of his life with her once leave this world . But even those who in life was little concerned with keeping the commandments , in the hour of mortal danger suddenly remembers the words memorized in childhood :
– Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu , Adonai Echod !
– Hear, O Israel : the Lord – our God, the Lord is one !
