Description
For 40 years the CHAMAH organization has published in Russian many articles about Shabbat and Jewish holidays. At first it was a special page in Friday’s issues of newspaper “Nasha Strana” (“Our Land”) for Soviet immigrants, and later – in weekly Jewish magazine “Aleph”.
For these long years it was edited many brochures and books touching the subjects of Jewish tradition and customs. At present, we have prepared a compilation of selected articles for printing.
During the preparation of this book for printing its contents was expanded, re-edited and illustrated.
The basis of this book is our eternal sources: the Bible, Talmud, Midrash, their Commentaries and Chassidic teachings.
The purpose of this book is to reach a wide range of readers.
